San Diego County Sees Record High Median Home Sales Prices in February

In February, the median sales price for single-family detached homes in San Diego County soared to a new peak of $1,035,000, surpassing previous highs of $1,000,000 in April 2022 and $1,015,000 in August 2023.




Attached homes also experienced a significant increase, with the median sales price reaching $662,000, coming close to the all-time high of $665,000 set in May 2022.



As we approach the start of the Spring Housing market in mid-March, we anticipate an influx of homes entering the market, potentially providing relief to the current inventory shortage. Any increase in available homes will be a welcome development! We expect inventory to gradually grow until reaching its peak in the summer, typically between July and August. However, it's important to note that a decrease in mortgage rates could hinder inventory growth and may even lead to a decline earlier than usual.
